Five hands of different colors (blue, purple, orange, pink) are raised against a light blue background. Text reads: Thank you for volunteering. As a volunteer on an advisory board or commission, you'll have the chance to share ideas and opinions on how government services can be improved to have the greatest benefit.

The Weld County Fair Board is seeking community members to serve on several committees as a chair or member. Application deadline is Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.

While serving on a committee, you will work with the fair board to plan, promote and put on the Weld County Fair. Committees include All-Around Showmanship contests; carcass contest (for sheep, goats, swine, and beef cattle); livestock drug testing; youth education; junior livestock/animal health; Junior Livestock Sale, Premier Exhibitor (for large animal, small animal, general/natural resources and family consumer sciences); fair royalty; and security, parking and risk management.

The seven-member fair board oversees the Weld County Fair, held the last full week of July, by setting policy and overseeing volunteer committees associated with the fair. The board will work closely with Weld County Extension and FFA programs. Board and committee members may attend events during the fair and serve as volunteers to help put the fair on.
