County restaurant inspection reports get a makeover

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment is launching a new online platform for residents to access restaurant inspection results.

For several years, Weld County has utilized EnvisionConnect, a software application that facilitated reporting on various inspections, including retail food establishments, childcare facilities, and body art businesses as mandated by the state. However, due to the end-of-life of the software, the EnvisionConnect system will no longer be supported, leading to the change to a new platform.

Weld County picked HS CloudSuite as their replacement program, which is the system the state and several other counties in the region are already using, making it easier to share reports and data with other health agencies. Furthermore, Weld County has benefited by getting the program at a reduced rate, because it is the same software used by the state.

The main change the public will notice is the new website interface. Going forward, all current and future inspection data will be accessible on the new inspections website, available at inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/weldcounty. Starting from October 16, 2023, the public can conveniently access the latest inspection results and make informed decisions about their dining choices.

Don’t worry though, all historical information regarding food inspections will remain publicly available on the previous site, accessible at apps.weld.gov/health/decade/. This means that the public will still have access to past inspection data, keeping a full record of safety standards on file for the benefit of the community.
