Four county departments will relocate this year providing each with more room to serve residents now and in the future as Weld County continues to grow. The Weld County Elections Department will move part of its operations in September, Weld County Veterans Services will move in October and the Weld County Department of Planning Services along with the county’s Oil and Gas Energy Department will move in November.

St. in Greeley. The move will begin Sept. 12 and is expected to be complete by Sept. 16.

Weld County Department of Veterans Services – A little more than one month after the elections department completes its move, Veterans Services will move from its current location at 1008 9th St. in Greeley to the Clerk and Recorders Office at 1250 H. St. in Greeley. The move is expected to happen Oct. 17 and 18.

Weld County Oil and Gas Energy Department – On Nov. 14 and 15, the department will move to its new home in the old Clerk and Recorder’s Office, located at 1402 N. 17th Ave in Greeley.

Weld County Department of Planning Services – Departing from its longtime home on the top floor of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, Planning Services will join the Oil and Gas Energy Department in the old Clerk and Recorder’s Office, located at 1402 N. 17th Ave. in Greeley. The move is expected to begin Nov. 16 and be complete by Nov. 21.

“We’re always looking for ways to continue providing the best services to residents, and these moves are one way we can achieve that goal,” said Weld County Commissioner Chair Scott James. “Each of these new locations has been renovated, giving our staff more space to complete their work and meet our residents’ needs now and in the future.”
