Weld County Treasurer's Office

After a much-needed remodel of the Weld County Treasurer and Public Trustee’s Office, located at 1400 North 17th Street in Greeley, staff will return to the new and improved space on November 15.

“With the addition of Public Trustee staff to the Treasurer’s Office, a remodel of the office was needed as the original building was completed in 1987,” said Weld County Commissioner Chair Steve Moreno. “This project added a large conference room, which will serve as a training room that all county departments can use.”

The newly renovated space adds a larger lobby to the Treasurer and Public Trustee’s Office as well as expands office space for the 15-member staff. In addition to a bigger lobby, the hallway leading into the office now has windows so people can see when a clerk is available to help them. Previously, a staff member was charged with managing customer flow, causing inefficiencies within the department’s workflow. A secure drop box was added outside the building and both public entrances have wider frames for wheelchair access.

The $497,992 remodel also gave the Assessor’s Office a configurable meeting room where partition walls can be moved to accommodate groups of different sizes — a small, medium or large room can be created. An added feature of this room allows maps and valuation information to be projected onto a wall. This ensures everyone can see the same information in a convenient manner.
