The final telephone town hall event in 2020 will be on Monday, November 16, at 5:00 p.m. During this time, Weld County Commissioners will provide updates related to COVID-19 including the meeting with Gov. Jared Polis and Colorado Public Health and Environment Director Jill Ryan, the Weld Business Recovery Fund, and what the county is doing to proactively deal with COVID.
“The telephone town hall format is new to Weld County this year, and we feel it has been an extremely helpful and effective way to get information to county residents interested in learning more about the county’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Commissioner Chair Mike Freeman.”
Everyone is invited to call in and listen as well as ask questions during the event, which is anticipated to last for an hour. To participate, call 877-229-8493 and enter code 119533.
Vekeo, the vendor providing the telephone town hall service, will initiate calls to some Weld County residents just prior to the event starting on Monday. Vekeo accesses phone numbers from Weld County registered voter lists and will randomly select 52,000 phone numbers to call for the event. All county residents, however, are invited to call in and participate.
