Annual Town and County meeting brings county and municipalities together

On Thursday, October 25, representatives from Weld County’s 32 municipalities will meet with county government leaders for the annual Town and County meeting.

Held every October, the Town and County meeting provides an opportunity for municipal elected officials to come together with the Board of County Commissioners to discuss any concerns they many have as well as share any good news regarding town projects or achievements.

According to the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the commissioners must meet with municipal leaders no less than three times a year. Such meetings help ensure regular and open communication among the government agencies. Other yearly meetings include the Highway 85 Coalition, and the North I-25 Coalition, in addition to several other multi-agency meetings throughout the year.

The meeting is open to the public, and anyone is welcome to come and listen to the updates and news on various projects throughout the county.

The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the Weld County Administration Building located at 1150 O Street in Greeley.
