Weld County Commissioner Sean Conway has been reappointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Immigration Reform Task Force. He will serve as Vice Chair of the Task Force, continuing his work from 2015 when he was first appointed to that role. As Vice Chair, Conway will participate in meetings and events as well as potentially testify before congressional committees on the topic of immigration reform. The 2017 focus of the group is “Serving the Underserved: Counties Addressing Poverty” according to a letter from NACo President Roy Charles Brooks, commissioner from Tarrant County, Texas. “Serving on this committee is an honor and allows counties to have a voice on issues at the national level that impact us on the local level,” said Conway. NACo is an association that unites all of America’s 3,069 county governments. To learn more about NACo, please go to www.NACo.org.
