Weld County’s effort to reduce fatalities and injuries across its transportation system through a safety action plan will be largely driven by feedback from our residents. On our dedicated webpage, WeldSafeStreets.com, you can:

  • Help identify problem areas throughout the county as well as what changes you’d like to see.
  • Learn more about what a Safety Action Plan is and how it’s a useful tool in helping the county continue its goal of providing a safe and efficient transportation system through the implementation of eight strategic priorities.

The Weld County Safety Action Plan is being developed following Weld County's acceptance of a $400,000 Safe Streets for and Roads for All (SS4A) grant in 2023.

This plan, led by Weld County includes the unincorporated area of the county and several municipalities (Dacono, Eaton, Evans, Firestone, Fort Lupton, Frederick, Gilcrest, Hudson, Keenesburg, LaSalle, Mead, Milliken, Pierce, Platteville, and Severance) that do not already have their own Safety Action Plan.
