Director of Public Safety Communications, Tina Powell

Tina Powell began her career with Weld County Regional Communications Center in 2011 as a 9-1-1 Communication Specialist. She was promoted to a Communications Supervisor in 2013. After working as a floor supervisor for two years, she accepted the position of E9-1-1 MSAG Program Manager. This position allowed her to learn the technical side of call routing, systems and project management.  In December of 2016, Tina was promoted to Communications Center Manager. During the last nine years working for Weld County Regional Communications Center she has obtained her CMCP, CCM, ENP and CPE designations.  In November of 2021, Tina was promoted to Director of Public Safety Communications.

Deputy Director of Public Safety Communications, Laurie Pfeiler

Laurie Pfeiler began her career with the Weld County Regional Communications Center in 1999 as a 9-1-1 Communications Specialist.  In 2002, she became a Communications Training Officer responsible for conducting on-the-job training for new hires.  In 2003, she was promoted to Communications Supervisor and oversight of the training program was given to her as a collateral assignment.  As the organization grew, a full-time training position was created and in 2015 Laurie accepted the role of 9-1-1 Training Coordinator.   In 2021, Laurie was promoted to EMD & Quality Improvement Manager where she provided oversight for the training and quality assurance programs.  In 2023, Laurie was promoted to Deputy Director of Public Safety Communications where she oversees Learning & Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations.  

Communications Center Manager, Licia Stedman

Licia Stedman began her career with the Weld County Regional Communications Center in 2016 as a 9-1-1 Communications Specialist. After working on the floor for several years, Licia was promoted to the Law & Fire Quality Improvement Coordinator in 2020. This allowed her to continue growing her skills in several aspects within the agency and she was promoted to the Administrative Communications Supervisor in 2022. In 2023, Licia was promoted to the Communication Center Manager where she is currently responsible for overseeing Operations.  

E9-1-1 MSAG and Program Manager, Allison Theunissen

Allison Theunissen began her career with Weld County Regional Communications Center in 2016 as a 9-1-1 Communications Specialist. While Allison was working as a Communications Specialist, she also served the organization by working as a CTO (Certified Training Officer) and EMD-Q (Quality Improvement Certification). In 2017 Allison was promoted to Communications Supervisor. She worked as a Communications Supervisor for almost 3 years. During this time Allison received her Communications Center Manager Certification (CMCP) designation. Allison was promoted to E9-1-1 MSAG and Program Manager in 2020. As the E9-1-1 MSAG and Program Manager Allison has many responsibilities that include maintaining the Master Street Addressing Guide Database (MSAG), maintaining Fire Department and Law Department recommends within the Computer Aided Dispatching System (CAD), hardware and software repairs and maintenance, and project management.

Public Safety Wireless Systems Manager, Cordero Bustos

Cord Bustos began his career with Weld County in 2018. Prior to this, he served as a radio communications specialist in the armed forces from 2007 to 2013. Before being promoted to a Wireless Systems Specialist position, he worked as a 911 dispatcher from 2013 to 2015. In 2020, he became the Wireless System Technician and was subsequently tasked with training the Wireless System Specialist. In addition to training and radio system maintenance, he was in charge of coordinating programming and maintenance of all Weld County radio users. In March of 2022, he was promoted to his current position as the Public Safety Wireless Systems Manager.

Learning and Development Manager, Brittany Young

Brittany Young began her career with the Weld County Regional Communications Center in 2014. Becoming a Certified Training Officer in 2016, Brittany conducted on-the-job training with new hires. She was promoted to a Training Specialist in 2017 where she developed curriculum for the continuing education program. She also shared responsibility training new hires in a classroom setting and helped pioneer new training techniques with all of staff. In 2023, Brittany was promoted to Learning and Development Manager where she leads the training team. 

Quality Assurance Manager, Shayla Wall

Shayla Wall began her career with Weld County Regional Communications Center in 2016 as a 9-1-1 Communications Specialist.   Shayla has served the organization by working as a Certified Training Officer, Acting Supervisor, and an EMD-Q. In 2020, Shayla promoted to Communications Supervisor where she provided supervision for operations. In 2023, Shayla was promoted to Quality Assurance Manager, where she provides oversight for emergency medical dispatch protocols, and continued growth of the quality assurance department.
