Bishop Well Incident

This incident is currently now in recovery phase. 

Background: The Weld County Office of Emergency Management is supporting the Galeton Fire Protection District (GFPD) in response and recovery of the Bishop Well Incident. At approximately 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025, GFPD was made aware of an incident at an oil and gas facility south of Weld County Road 74. Multiple agencies and more than 300 people are working on the response and recovery of this event.
