Finding a Non-custodial Parent

If you don’t know where a parent lives, it can be hard to set up or enforce a child support order. Child Support Services can help find them using local, state, and federal resources.

You can help by sharing as much information as you can, like:

  • Full name and any other names they’ve used
  • Last known address or phone numbers (home or work)
  • Social Security Number
  • Birth date, city, and state
  • Paycheck stubs
  • Tax returns
  • Bank or financial details
  • Arrest or court case records
  • A photo of the parent

You can also try looking for them on social media, like Facebook, or other online tools.

If the parent is in another state

Child support cases involving parents in different states can take longer and be more complex. In some cases, we can work on the case from our office. Other times, we may need help from the child support office in the other state.

If we need help from another state, we’ll let you know and keep you updated.
