Weld County, Colorado — Celebrated during June, Men's Health Month is an annual observance that raises awareness of preventable health problems and encourages early detection and treatment of disease among men. This month, the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) encourages men and their families to take control of male health issues with proper screenings and care.
Men on average die almost five years earlier than women. That's partly because men are more reluctant to seek help or care, according to menshealthmonth.org. It's important for men to get regular checkups to know what good health means for them. That way, they can listen to their bodies and know when to prioritize their health.
