COVID-19 Data Dashboard

Weld County — In response to the community’s request to receive more information about reported positive COVID-19 cases, the Weld County Board of Commissioners and the Department of Public Health and Environment have worked on a new data dashboard, which will be available Friday afternoon (April 17).

In addition to continuing to show cumulative reported case counts by age and sex, the dashboard will also include deaths by date of death, reported positive cases by day, deaths by age and sex as well as graphs showing reported positive case counts by zip code.

“Displaying our case information in this manner allows us to better represent the reported positive cases in our county, which spans 4,000 square miles,” said Commissioner Chair Mike Freeman. “By breaking it out by zip code, we are able to more accurately include the unincorporated areas of the county while continuing to protect the privacy of positive COVID-19 individuals in specific towns.”

In areas of the county where there are less than five reported positive COVID-19 cases, the zip code will not show on the chart. County officials warn, however, that is not reason to stop taking all preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.

“Until there is a vaccine, people need to make sure they continue physical distancing, washing their hands and recurrently touched surfaces frequently, staying home if feeling ill and minimizing unnecessary trips,” said Mark E. Wallace, MD, MPH, Executive Director of the Weld County Health Department. “We are not out of the woods yet. It is not time to let our guard down.”

Dashboard Tips:

  • Cases by zip code graph
Zip codes and the number of reported cases within the zip codes are listed. When you click on the bar, the area within that zip code will be highlighted on the map.
  • Map
Map broken into Health Department’s four Community Health Assessment regions: north, southwest, southeast, Greeley/Evans/Garden City.
  • Cases by region graph
This combines the reported positive cases by zip code for each region. Noticeably, the Greeley/Evans/Garden City region has far more cases than the other three regions. This can be attributed to the fact this is a population-dense region and accounts for about one-third of Weld County’s total population.

The new data will be updated daily after 4:00 p.m.
