The WCDPHE Substance Use Disorder Education and Prevention Program has presentations available to support youth, parents, schools, and other youth serving organizations with substance use education. Presentations topics can be on alcohol, marijuana, and/or opioids (prescription drugs vs. illicit drugs and fentanyl).

  • Youth/Students - This interactive and engaging presentation teaches students about the dangers of substance use and how to avoid it. The challenges of adolescence are acknowledged while emphasizing the lasting impact decisions regarding substance use can have on their future.
  • Teachers/Staff – This presentation provides tools to help teachers educate their students on substance use. It also provides education on the signs and symptoms of substance use, prevention and treatment resources, and tips on how to talk with young people about difficult topics about substances.
  • Parents/Caregivers – This presentation gives tools to parents/caregivers to educate their young people about substances so they will be able to make better decisions in the future regarding substance use. It also provides education on the signs and symptoms of substance use prevention and treatment resources and tips on how to talk to with their young person about substances.
