Weld County Programs
Over the last decade, substances have changed. Young people start experimenting at an earlier age, and substances are more available and potent than ever. Marijuana saw a potency increase of 300% since the 1990's and Fentanyl is 50-100 times more potent than morphine.
We believe education and upstream prevention is the best way to reduce the number of people who experience addiction. This is why the WCDPHE created the Substance Use Education and Prevention Program, so anyone can learn about the dangers of substances, how to avoid becoming addicted, and how to help those who may be affected by substance use.
