Communicable Disease Data Dashboard

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) Communicable Disease Data Dashboard provides a look across time at select communicable disease conditions investigated by the WCDPHE’s Communicable Disease Team. Data includes a variety of enteric, vector borne, and vaccine preventable diseases that are required to be reported to the Health Department. Information is collected from communicable disease reports, medical record reviews, and patient and provider interviews. The data may change as cases are currently under investigation.

To maintain patient privacy, any counts less than three cases have been suppressed throughout the data dashboard. If an area of the dashboard is not showing data for a year or demographic group, then there are less than three cases (but not necessarily zero) in that year/group.  On the “Overview” page, the “Case Counts by Year” table shows an asterisk (“*”) where case counts are less than three.

Weld County case data is sourced from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s EpiTrax system (electronic disease surveillance system). Weld County population estimates for sex and race/ethnicity are sourced from the 2023 U.S. Census Bureau, Population Estimates Program.
