January 3, 2024 Minutes

Weld County Public Works (1111 H Street, Greeley, CO 80631)

1. Call to Order: Vice-Chair Moyer called the meeting to order at 3:06 pm.  Other Committee members present were A.J. Krieger, Jodi Hartmann, Janet Meisel-Burns, Cheryl Powell, and Dean Moyer. A quorum was present.
2. Vice-Chair Moyer asked for review of the December 6, 2023, minutes and if there are any amendments.  Seeing none, Committee Member Powell made a motion to approve the minutes as presented and was seconded by Committee Member Meisel-Burns. The motion passed unanimously.
3. In accordance with the Committee bylaws, Vice-Chair Moyer opened the nominations for Chair. Committee member Meisel-Burns made the motion to nominate Nicholas Wharton as Chair and Committee member Powell seconded the motion. The motion to appoint Nicholas Wharton as Chair passed unanimously. Then Vice-Chair Moyer opened the nominations for Vice-Chair. Committee member Meisel-Burns made the motion to nominate Dean Moyer as Vice-Chair and Committee member Powell seconded the motion. The motion to appoint Dean Moyer as Vice-Chair passed unanimously.
4.  Ms. Martin presented the reports for the current projects. Staff went over the project list and provided a status update. Great news about the 60+Ride Van finally being delivered. 
5. Other Business – Cynthia went over the 2024 CDBG applications. We received six applications and three of them are from communities who have never submitted a prior application. The applications were submitted by: Ault, Firestone, Eaton, Erie, Evans, and Platteville.
6. The CDBG Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 3:43 p.m.
