Weld County CDBG Advisory Committee Minutes

Weld County Public Works (1111 H Street, Greeley, CO 80631)

 

  1. Call to Order: Nicholas Wharton, Chair, called the meeting to order at 3:06 pm.  Other Committee members present were Deb Lewis-DeMille, Janet Meisel-Burns, Cheryl Powell, and Dean Moyer. A quorum was present.

     

  2. Chair Wharton asked for review of the November 1, 2023, minutes and if there are any amendments.  Seeing none, Committee Member Meisel-Burns motioned for approval of the minutes as presented and was seconded by Committee Member Moyer. The motion passed unanimously.

     

  3. Ms. Martin presented the reports for the current projects. Staff went down the list project by project with a status update.

     

  4. Staff reported that we did receive our annual Grant Agreement from HUD in the amount of $1,777,685 for our 2023 Program. Weld County returned the executed agreement back to HUD on November 9, 2023.

    Staff is working with HUD on a timeliness schedule to assist drawing down 2022 CDBG funds.

  5. Other Business – Cynthia informed the group that 2024 will mark the 50th Anniversary of the CDBG Program for HUD. We will be coordinating future celebration efforts with the Committee.

The CDBG Advisory Committee meeting adjourned at 3:53 p.m.

The next meeting is scheduled for January 3, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Public Works, main conference room, 1111 H St., Greeley, CO 80631.
