County Roots

For those of us who work in county government, we think what we do is pretty interesting. So, the goal of this newsletter is to highlight some of the partnerships, technology and efficiencies we are using to make government stronger and more effective for you - our residents. Each month we will bring you interesting information about how and where your tax dollars are working.

WCR 6 and 13 Roundabout Project

Over the next several months, the intersection at Weld County Road (WCR) 6 and WCR 13, located south of Dacono and east of Erie will be transformed into a roundabout. Like similar county roundabouts, this one will be a rural roundabout, meaning big enough to handle large agricultural equipment and semitrucks as well as regular traffic. Area Agency on Aging

Senior Solutions, the official newsletter of the Weld County Area Agency on Aging (AAA), is designed for older adults, adults with disabilities, their families, caregivers and other professionals. AAA’s mission is to provide information, assistance, support, services and/or resources to help people stay in their homes and communities for as long and as independently as possible. Foster Care in Weld County

From toddlers to teenagers, our young people in foster care offer you and your family a unique and rewarding opportunity. Celebrate their strengths and assist them in overcoming their obstacles. Family Forever

The primary goal of the Post Adoption Support Program, Family Forever, is to preserve permanency for children who have been adopted and to ensure the well-being of all members of the household. In order to do so, it is essential that all families have access to trauma-informed resources. This monthly newsletter provides helpful information about trainings, classes and events geared for families who have adopted children.

Work-Based Learning

Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) prides itself in offering personal and career development, furnishing access to education, training, and Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for individuals ages 14-72 who meet program eligibility requirements. These include paid work-experience/internships, On-the-Job Training (OJT), pre-apprenticeships, and Registered Apprenticeships. August through May, a newsletter is emailed to subscribers highlighting job and internship opportunities in northern Colorado

 

Workforce Development Board

The Workforce Development Board newsletter provides glimpses into the initiatives, programs and collaborative efforts that define our commitment to strengthening employment opportunities in Weld County. This quarterly periodical aims to be a beacon of information for any organization involved in workforce activities; sharing insights, success stories and updates on our collective efforts to shape the future of our employment sector.
